About

My name is Stein. I’m an avid hiker, traveler and amateur photographer from Norway.

I’ve been doing photography since I got my first digital camera back in 2001. While traveling around and visiting national parks in the American Southwest in the late 2000s I gradually transitioned from road-tripping and doing photography into hiking and doing photography.

In 2011 I decided to go full-out and go on my first long-distance hike, the 222 mile long John Muir Trail. This has since been followed by the Pacific Crest Trail in 2012 and the Continental Divide Trail and the Te Araroa Trail in 2015-2016. A total of 8000 miles of long distance hiking at the time of this writing.

The purpose of this website is to share from my adventures in hiking, traveling and exploring. Hopefully you’ll find my website entertaining, useful or inspirational in some way. If you have comments or questions please use the contact form from the top menu, or you can find me on social media by clicking the icons to the right (or below if on a mobile device).

Cheers
Stein
